The Easy Snug Infant Insert only applies to older Ergobaby models and is not required for the Omni and Embrace lines. It is designed to help you carry your newborn safely, comfortably, and ergonomically in Ergobaby carriers that are not adjustable for newborn use, including the Original and 360 carriers. It is suitable for babies from newborn up to ~4 months (7–12 lbs/3.2–5.5 kg), or for babies over 12 lbs/5.5 kg who are younger than 4 months or have not yet developed strong and consistent head and neck control.
The insert provides essential head, neck, and spine support, while ensuring your baby’s thighs are properly seated for ergonomic comfort. Its fan-shaped design securely attaches to the carrier for intuitive loading and better airflow.
The bottom pillow in the Easy Snug Insert can be removed and placed inside the carrier for babies who have strong and consistent head and neck control but may need to sit higher or have more knee bend clearance. Older babies who still need head and neck support can use the insert shell without the pillow to maintain proper ergonomic positioning.
For safe and ergonomic positioning:
Ensure your baby’s face and head remain uncovered at all times.
Keep your baby close enough that the top of their head is at kissable height.
Check that you can fit at least one finger between your baby’s chin and chest to maintain a clear airway.
Make sure the insert is securely attached to the carrier and that your baby is seated comfortably with thighs supported and spine naturally aligned.
Following these guidelines helps maximize comfort, safety, and air circulation while your newborn is in the carrier.
